14 DAY TRIAL // LG (Electronics) announced today a new mid-rage smartphone as part of its new Q series, the LG Q6, which is the first to ship with the FullVision display that was previously available on the LG G6 model announced in March 2017.
Powered by Google's Android 7.1.1 Nougat mobile operating system, LG Q6 promises to offer customers all the essential features of LG premium line up, but it comes with a smaller price tag. It features a sleek design with minimized bezels and it's available in three different flavors, specifically Q6+, Q6 and Q6α, that boast various technical specifications.
"The LG Q6 is a blend of premium features, great performance and attractive pricing, a combination that is extremely important to us as we look at the way consumers are using smartphones around the world,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The Q series is our way of getting the superb experiences with the essence of the LG’s premium line-ups to more consumers’ hands and pockets.”
Technical specifications of LG Q6
Weighing only 149g (142.5 x 69.3 x 8.1mm), all LG Q6 models sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor and a beautiful 5.5-inch 18:9 FHD+ FullVision display with 2160x1080 resolution and 442 ppi pixels density. While the LG Q6α variant is the weaker one, featuring only 2GB RAM and 16GB flash storge, the LG Q6 model has 3GB RAM and 32GB flash storage, and the LG Q6+ flavor is the most powerful with 4GB RAM and 64GB flash storage.
All three LG Q6 variants have a non-removable 3,000mAh battery, a 13MP standard angle rear camera and a 5MP wide angle front camera for selfies, support LTE, 3G, and 2G mobile networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-B 2.0, and NFC, and they are available in Astro Black and Ice Platinum colors, though the LG Q6 model also ships with Mystic White and Terra Gold flavors, LG Q6+ with a Marine Blue variant, and LG Q6α with a Terra Gold model.
