LG has released another teaser promoting the upcoming G6 smartphone, this one focusing on the dual-camera setup on the back of the phone. In a blog post, LG confirmed that the G6 would come with a 13MP dual-camera setup and a front-facing shooter with a 100-degree field of view.

LG has revealed that the rear-camera will offer a 125-degree field of view and will be able to shoot square images in a 1:1 ratio, suitable for sharing on various social platforms, including Instagram.

The V20 had a 120-degree selfie camera and one of the two sensors on the back had a 135-degree lens. While the lens on the G6 aren’t as wide as on the V20, LG did say that it improved the usability between the two sensors for zooming in during video recording. Cameras on the upcoming phone will offer the same image quality.

The G6 will feature a Full Vision 18:9 display and LG announced that it would introduce new features into the camera that would take advantage of the display. The camera will have the ability to create GIF images from pictures in the camera roll.

360-degree panorama mode and a food mode

The rear camera on the G6 will also come with 360-degree panorama mode and a food mode with boosted color and saturation. The G6 will have new filters for selfies as well.

The dual-camera setup on the G6 will have the capacity to alternate between wide angle and regular modes, giving users more options for shooting images.

The G6 is expected to come with a 5.7-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 821 and 32-bit Quad DAC. It will also have IP67 or IP68 certification against water and dust damages, as well as a new always-on display feature.

The phone is also rumored to come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, a 3,200mAh battery and run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Moreover, the phone might have Google Assistant on board. LG plans to announce the upcoming G6 on February 26 and make the phone available for purchase in March.
