LG’s V20 has certainly been one of the most anticipated smartphones in the past month, and it’s quite clear why, considering that the device comes with the latest specs and Android Nougat out of the box. Now, the company has just taken the wraps off its latest flagship, the V20, at an event held in San Francisco.

The V20 certainly comes with major improvements over last year’s V10 smartphone and boasts some features that are unique on the market. The handset’s design is quite similar to that of its predecessor, with an all-metal design and a removable back.

It may seem that many phones released in the past period of time have sealed backs, but the V20 allows users to swap batteries, which could come in handy in a number of situations. The V20 doesn’t include any of the modularity from the company’s previous flagship, the LG G5.

LG states that it packed the V20 with AL 6013 aluminum for the case, which is, in fact, aluminum-magnesium-silicon-copper alloy that’s mostly used in airplanes and boats. The smartphone is also US military MIL-STD-810 Transit Drop compliant, which means that it can survive a drop from the height of 4 feet.

The V20 provides users with 64GB of internal storage

The smartphone comes with Bang & Olufsen audio tuning, and for a limited time, LG will be offering customers B&O headphones together with the V20. Audio on the V20 has improved significantly, considering that the phone comes with an HD Audio Recorder with Hi-Fi, and it supports 24 bit/192kHz FLAC.

The smartphone also comes with the Quad DAC and has high acoustic overload point mics, which can record clearer sound in louder situations, as the device can record up to 132db without losing clarity.

The V20 also has a powerful dual-camera setup on the back, with an 8MP wide angle camera and a 16MP normal camera with Steady Record 2.0 OIS, laser detection autofocus, phase detection, and contrast. Front camera capacity reaches 5MP with the option to snap wide mode or normal mode shots.

The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, a 5.7-inch QHD display with 513ppi, 64GB of internal storage, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 3,200mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The secondary screen comes on top of the main display, and it shows missed notifications, the time, and the user’s signature, which can be up to 24 digits long. It’s also the first announced smartphone to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
