Google is expected to unveil its next Nexus smartphones this fall, but a clear release date has yet to be confirmed. For the time being, word is the search giant will announce the new Nexus 5 smartphone in late September or early October.

But the Nexus 5 (2015) might not be the only smartphone launched by Google this year. An improved version manufactured by Huawei is expected to go official in about one month from now as well.

The latest rumors revealed some of the specs of the LG Nexus 5 (2015), which include 5.2-inch Quad HD display, 4GB RAM, and Snapdragon 808 processor.

However, it looks like some of the specs rumored not long ago were completely wrong. A reliable source told AndroidPolice that Nexus 5 (2015) wouldn't have a Quad HD display and would have less RAM inside.

Full HD display is an interesting choice for a flagship

According to this source, LG Nexus 5 (2015) will sport a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, not Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels).

It will still pack the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset that features a hexa-core processor, but instead of 4GB RAM, the smartphone is said to come with only 3GB RAM now.

Once again, the Nexus 5 (2015) has been confirmed to include a USB Type C port. Another new piece of information revealed by the unnamed source claims the smartphone will be powered by a 2,700 mAh battery, which should be enough for what the Nexus 5 (2015) has to offer in terms of specs.

On the back, the smartphone is rumored to pack a 12.3-megapixel sensor, while in the front there will be a 5-megapixel camera. No additional details on either of the cameras have been leaked yet.

Last but not least, the Nexus 5 (2015) will come in two models based on storage amount: 16GB and 32GB. We're still waiting for details on the phone's pricing options to emerge in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
