As expected, LG's flagship smartphone for the first half of 2017, the G6 is now available for purchase in South Korea. Rumors prior to the phone's official reveal suggested the LG G6 could go on sale on March 10, after a 7-day pre-order period.

However, we didn't expect the LG G6 to have limited availability. The flagship won't be available in other countries until later this month. The global rollout of the phone is likely to start next week, but it will take some time until the G6 arrives in most markets.

Nevertheless, customers in South Korea can now purchase the LG G6 for the equivalent of $800, which makes the phone significantly more expensive than the LG G5 that was sold for $630 at launch.

But that didn't seem to bother fans, as LG confirmed its G6 flagship was off to a good start in South Korea where the company announced 40,000 units were pre-ordered in just 4 days. It's also worth mentioning that the LG G6 is available in multiple color options: Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Mystic White.

LG has decided to replace the Snapdragon 835 processor with last year's top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. Moreover, the smartphone boast a much larger 5.7-inch display as opposed to the LG G5's 5.3-inch screen.

In the same piece of news, LG has announced that its Watch Sport and Watch Style smartwatches powered by Android Wear 2.0 will be available for purchase in South Korea starting March 11.

Customers can pick the LG Watch Style in either Titanium or Rose Gold for $275 or $290, respectively. It will ship with several replaceable leather straps and wireless chargers as free gifts.

The more powerful LG Watch Sport comes in Titanium and will sell for no less than $390. The smartwatch will be available for purchase through three major carriers in the country.
