LG announced its latest premium smartphone last month, during MWC 2017, and pre-orders for the G6 have already been live in Korea for a few days now. Recent reports from Korea revealed that the G6 managed to record 40,000 pre-orders in just four days.

The number is quite impressive, as it means that 10,000 people pre-ordered the G6 per day, and if they turn into actual sales, then the G6 is definitely off to a good start to become one of the top Android smartphones this quarter.

The phone sells for $795 in Korea and is expected to hit shelves on March 10, while a global launch could be scheduled soon after that. LG offers its Korean customers up to $390 in pre-order incentives, including one year of LCD screen replacement warranty and an original case for housing the G6.

Plenty of incentives for LG G6 customers

Customers can also choose from multiple accessories, like Raleigh Keyboard 2, TonePlus Bluetooth headphones, and a combo of a Nescafe coffee machine and a wireless mouse. Pre-orders end on March 9, and it remains to be seen if LG will reveal the number of customers who actually bought the new phone.

So far, LG’s decision to ditch the modular design on the G6 seems to have paid off, as the smartphone is gradually capturing the attention of more and more customers. The G6 is expected to be made available at major carriers in the US and UK, with Verizon and Sprint already confirming that they will be carrying the device.

The G6 comes with a 5.7-inch Full Vision Quad HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The phone runs the Snapdragon 821 SoC, has 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory. It’s water and dust resistant and runs the latest Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with LG UI on top.
