The next flagship smartphone coming from LG, the G5 will be announced next year, but we already have some preliminary information regarding its specs.

If you haven't been up to date with the latest details on LG G5, then you must know the smartphone is expected to be officially unveiled sometime in April.

The South Korean company will not launch the LG G5 at CES or MWC 2016 trade fairs but during a dedicated event a few months later.

If LG G5 will be introduced in April, it's likely that will be released on the market one month later or so for a price that will be disclosed closer to launch.

Now, Reddit user mobile_leaks claims it already has a prototype unit in his hands and shared some details about the LG G5's specs.

First of all, the smartphone will boast a 5.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

LG G5 will feature both microSD and SIM card slots on the right side. There will be an IR blaster on top and a speaker on the bottom side. The fingerprint sensor will be implemented just like in LG V10's case.

Hardware-wise, there are no surprises, as LG G5 will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 3GB of RAM. There's no mention of internal memory yet, but we expect it to pack at least 32GB of storage.

Dual camera combo camera on the back

At the back, the phone will boast a dual camera combo with 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras. The main photo snapper will feature laser autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording.

LG G5 will also pack an 8-megapixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls. The leakester also mentions heart rate and pressure sensors, along with USB Type-C at the bottom.

Last but not least, LG G5 will feature a full metal body design, so we expect some Qualcomm fast charging technologies to come with it.

We expect one or more pictures of the device will be uploaded soon, so stay tuned for more updates on the LG G5's looks and technical configuration.
