LG recently introduced a new tablet aimed at Android fans, the G Pad III 10.1. The slate was introduced in South Korea, LG's home turf, but we expect it to be available in other countries as well.

Spec-wise, the G Pad III 10.1 is a mid-range tablet. According to LG, the slate will hit the shelves in South Korea in early 2017 and customers will be able to pick this one up for just $365, which is a great deal considering the hardware under the hood.

One thing that's worth noting before going into more details is the fact that the LG G Pad III 10.1 comes with a stylus and some dedicated apps that can be used with this accessory, just like Samsung's Galaxy Note series.

Moving on to the actual hardware, LG has confirmed the G Pad III 10.1 is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, which is complemented by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable memory.

The tablet comes with 5-megapixel camera sensors one both sides, front and back. Another interesting thing is the fact that the tablet comes with a kick stand built-in, so users can adjust the G Pad III 10.1's angle up to 70 degrees.

LG G Pad III 10.1 is powered by a huge 6,000 mAh battery and features a USB Type-C port. As the name suggests, the tablet sports a large 10.1-inch display that supports 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution.

For some reason, LG has decided not to include Android 7.0 Nougat on this mid-range tablet, so the G Pad III 10.1 will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box.

Also, we don't expect LG to provide any major Android OS updates to the G Pad III 10.1 since it's a mid-range slate after all, but anything is possible.
