The Lenovo Vibe X3 has been roaming online for a while

The Lenovo Vibe X3 isn’t a newcomer to the rumor mill. We saw it leak even before MWC 2015, so we thought the device might be unveiled during the event. But that didn’t happen.

Even so, Lenovo is still expected to launch the handset in the near future. Back in August, the Vibe X3 leaked online revealing its specifications, and this week the phone was spotted passing China’s regulatory agency, TEENA, which is a very good indicator that the phone will be rolled out soon enough.

We also get to check out what the real-life Lenovo Vibe X3 will look like when it makes an official debut into the wild. According to the TEENA listing, the Vibe X3 should arrive with a 5.5-inch display (although previous rumors said the phone would bundle a 5-inch screen) with 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).

The handset features a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor working hand in hand with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage (via microSD card slot).

The Lenovo Vibe X3 seems like flagship material

After all the fuss created under the Snapdragon 810, it appears that Lenovo is not willing to risk putting the chipset inside this model. So it is playing it safe by adopting the same Snapdragon 808 that is powering the LG G4 flagship.

We can also see that the phone offers LTE connectivity and measures 154 x 76.4 x 9.4 mm / 6.06 x 3 x 0.37 inches while breaking the scales at 175 g / 0.38 lbs.

While the TEENA listing doesn’t say anything on this matter, previous rumors would have us believe that the phone might take advantage of a 20MP rear camera with dual LED flash, plus an unusual 7MP front-facing camera for selfie-taking.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop should be the operating system on board (with the company’s own Vibe UI plastered on top), but if Lenovo waits another few weeks to release the phone, the Vibe X3 might actually be among the first handsets to arrive with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

No word on prices specifications of the new model either. We’ll just have to wait until Lenovo launches it on the market.
