Chinese company Lenovo is likely to launch a new affordable smartphone in the next couple of weeks, the cheaper version of Vibe X3. The Vibe X3 is a mid-range Android handset that has yet to be officially launched by Lenovo.

It appears that Lenovo plans to launch both devices at the same time, though we expect them to be initially released in China.

We already know that the Vibe X3 will be equipped with a powerful 1.5GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, but the Lite version comes with a 1.3GHz octa-core processor, possibly provided by MediaTek.

Furthermore, the Vibe X3 comes with a 3GB of RAM inside, whereas the cheaper version features only 2GB of RAM.

The good news is both Lenovo Vibe X3 models seem to pack similar amount of storage: 16GB. In addition, both offer microSD card slot for memory expansion, so you will be able to add SD cards if you're not content with the storage you get by default.

Decent specs for a smartphone priced under $150

According to a new report, Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite sports a more than decent 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

On the back, the device packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, while on the front, there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The Vibe X3 Lite will be powered by a 3,300 mAh battery and comes preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

It's also worth mentioning the smartphone offers 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, but also packs a fingerprint scanner on the back side.

For the time being, there's no mention of price tag and availability, but according to the latest hearsay, the Vibe X3 Lite should cost around $140 outright.
