Back in September of last year, Lenovo introduced the Vibe P1 during IFA event. The smartphone came with an impressive 5,000mAh battery and some other powerful specs. Now, it seems that Lenovo is working on its successor, which has leaked in images.

Two live images with the Lenovo Vibe P2 have surfaced online, showing the handset's design, according to GSMArena. The leak also provides some details on the phone's specs, specifically that it will come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution.

In addition, the size and resolution seem to be the same as for its predecessor, the Vibe P1, with the exception that the Vibe P2 might come with an AMOLED screen, and not LCD panels. What's more, the device will be made of metal and will have 2.5D curved glass on top of the display.

The fingerprint sensor is located inside the physical home button, while a 5,000mAh battery is very likely to be packed inside, the same as for the previous model in the series.

The phone's dimensions have also been revealed. The Vibe P2 could thus be 8.5 mm slim, 1.4 mm thinner than its predecessor, although battery capacity is the same.

Previous rumors pointed to the fact that Lenovo Vibe P2 could come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 SoC with a 2GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and 4GB of RAM and that it would run Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.

Lenovo Vibe P1 was announced a year ago, and it came with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which could be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card.

Rear camera capacity reached 13MP, with auto-focus, LED flash, and video recording among the goodies, while front camera capacity reached 5MP. In addition, the handset ran Android Lollipop 5.1 and featured a metal body. It also had Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating on its display.
