In February this year, Lenovo announced a series of affordable tablets as part of the Tab3 line which didn't exactly stand out on the market, considering that they came with quite modest specs. Now, it seems that the company is working on a new tablet in the series.

Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus has just leaked in multiple images and some of its specs were revealed, according to Winfuture. The tablet will most likely come with an 8-inch display and a Full HD pixel resolution. The report also mentions that the tablet could come with 3GB of RAM, which would definitely be an upgrade over its predecessor.

Rear camera capacity could reach 8MP, with a frontal snapper of 5MP. The Tab3 8 Plus might be offered in two variants, with different amounts of internal storage. One variant might have 32GB of internal memory, while the other 64GB, but both models would offer owners the option to use a microSD card in order to expand memory.

The upcoming Tab3 8 Plus might have a 4,250mAh battery

One important change in the new Tab3 8 Plus seems to be connected to the chipset inside. The tablet will reportedly come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625, compared to a quad-core MediaTek chipset in devices announced earlier this year.

The processor is made with a superior 14nm process, which means that it will have twice as many cores and provide significantly higher speeds. In addition, battery life should be boosted on the upcoming tablet. The Tab3 8 Plus will also come with multiple connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0, and it could have a battery capacity of 4,250mAh.

The Tab 3 8'' announced earlier this year came with a massive battery of 6,200mAh and had 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and an 8-inch IPS LCD display. The tablet carried a price tag of €200 for the WiFi-only model and €250 for the LTE variant.
