It looks like Lenovo won't unveil any flagship smartphones at MWC 2016 even though it's one of world's largest mobile phone vendors.

However, the Chinese company has teased the launch of a mid-range Android smartphone that had already been introduced in China about a month ago, the Lemon 3.

The Lemon 3 is a mid-range Android device that offers some premium features, which might be the reason Lenovo decided to launch an international version.

Lenovo India has teased the upcoming Lemon 3 reveal, which will happen at MWC 2016, but has not offered details on the day the announcement will go live.

Even though Lenovo hasn't said when the global variant of its smartphone will go official, we know for sure that the Lemon 3 will be showcased at MWC 2016 in about a week from now.

Moving on to specs, Lenovo Lemon 3 features a premium design thanks to its full metal body. Also, the smartphone sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution with a brightness of 450 nits.

More-than-decent specs for a mid-range smartphone

Hardware-wise, the Lemon 3 will come preloaded with a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, coupled with an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The handset features 16GB of storage inside, but users can expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Lenovo Lemon 3 packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which boasts autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front.

The Chinese model comes with dual-SIM support, but we don't know if the global version will include this feature. Also, the mid-range smartphone embeds stereo speakers on the back side with Waves MaxxAudio technology.

Last but not least, the Lemon 3 will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, unless Lenovo decides to include Marshmallow in the international model.
