Lenovo is one of the companies that noticed the potential of 2-in-1 devices and the company couldn’t miss the boom of this market, so it launched its own devices, some of which looked incredibly similar to the Microsoft Surface.

The Lenovo Miix 510 was essentially a Surface clone available at a more affordable price, and it looks like Lenovo wants to follow the same approach for the next model.

Photos that leaked via German site WinFuture show what seems to be the Lenovo Miix 520, a new model expected to see daylight in the coming weeks with features that make it even more powerful than its predecessor.

Lenovo Miix 520 specifications

First and foremost, the Miix 520 comes with a 12.3-inch display that features a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and which is covered by Gorilla Glass for protection against scratches. The processor is the seventh-generation Intel Kaby Lake running at 2.7 GHz, and is coupled to different RAM configurations - the top-of-the-range is 16GB, but you can also opt for less if you want it to be cheaper.

The top model also comes with 1TB SS storage. The Miix 520 lineup includes the typical features that you find today on the market, including USB Type-C ports, microSD card reader, fingerprint scanner, front and back cameras, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

In terms of design, there is absolutely no doubt that this model in inspired by Microsoft’s Surface, and it even integrates a kickstand that allows it to easily double as a laptop.

These leaked photos do not show its keyboard, but it most certainly comes with one, as Lenovo’s goal is the same as Microsoft’s - to offer a 2-in-1 device that can be used either as a laptop or as a tablet.

Full details, including pricing and availability, will be unveiled very soon when the new Lenovo device officially makes its debut.
