14 DAY TRIAL // As expected, Funcom launched LEGO Minifigures on PC, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS platform, but instead of making it free to play, the game is now a once-buy title.
This means that it doesn't come with in-app purchases. However, players will be able to use the codes found inside real Minifigures collectible bags to unlock and play with Minifigures in-game.
It's also worth mentioning that the initial purchase includes the game and the first world (Pirate World), so additional worlds will be available for purchase at a later date.
For those unfamiliar with the new title, LEGO Minifigures is an online game where you have to collect Minifigures and build your own unique team of characters that will help you in your adventures through classic LEGO worlds.
It appears that there are more than 100 Minifigures to collect and play within LEGO Minifigures game, so there are plenty of team setups at your disposal.
The game is cross-platform
Developers also confirmed that LEGO Minifigures is a cross-platform game, which means it allows gamers to play together in the same online world regardless of operating system.
“LEGO Minifigures Online is designed for LEGO fans of all ages; for those who love online games, and those who have never played one before.
“To make it even easier for friends to play together, the game is playable seamlessly on a large number of platforms and devices, and everyone plays together in the same online world.
“No matter whether you are playing on a smartphone, tablet or desktop, you will all be playing the same game – together,” said Funcom CEO Rui Casais.
You can now download LEGO Minifigures for Android for $4.99 via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.4 and up.
For iOS users, the game is up for grabs on App Store for the same amount. It should work smoothly on all devices running iOS 7.0 or later.
