LEGO Jurassic World, the title created by TT Games and published by Warner Bros., might be the big winner of the slow summer launch season, as it has managed to move to the top of the United Kingdom video game sales chart for the week that ended on August 1.

The game is clearly benefiting from the big success of the new movie in the franchise and gamers who pick it up will be able to play through the new adventure as well as the stories of the first three installments.

The big hook for Jurassic Park lovers is that they can unlock actual dinosaurs in order to use them to explore the worlds using a unique set of mechanics.

Second place, according to data from UKIE, is occupied by Batman: Arkham Knight, the action title created by Rocksteady and also published by Warner Bros., which is continuing to move units despite the fact that the PC version is broken at the moment and a full fix will probably only arrive in September.

The last position on the podium is occupied by Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar, which has managed to gain two positions coming from fifth, a game that has generated a lot of sales based on the popularity of the Online mode.

The best of the rest

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, the EA Sports simulation, has managed to stay at the top for two weeks, but it has now dropped to land in fourth.

Another game from the same studio, but a much older one, occupies fifth place, as FIFA 15 is looking to stay in the top ten until the launch of the next installment in the series takes place in late September.

Battlefield Hardline, the shooter from Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts, has re-entered the top ten, presumably because the big 2.0 update has been launched, tweaking some of the core mechanics of the title.

F1 2015, the simulation game from Codemasters, has also dropped a lot to reach eighth place and is followed by Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

The United Kingdom top ten is closed down by the Remastered PlayStation 4 version of the classic God of War 3.
