Images of the smartphone have just surfaced online

Chinese company LeEco still has one of the most powerful Android smartphones available on the market, at least until Samsung's Galaxy S8 makes its debut.

The Le Pro3 is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 processor, the same that's packed inside the upcoming LG G6 flagship. The difference is LeEco launched the Le Pro3 last year, whereas the LG G6 hit the shelves this month.

Since the Le Pro3 won't be so appealing to those looking for the latest technology in the smartphone industry for too long, LeEco is rumored to ready the launch of yet another flagship.

Two pictures of the said flagship recently emerged in China (via Mobilissimo), but few details are known about the device. What's very clear from the pictures is that LeEco has decided to adopt the dual-curved edge display that's been made popular by Samsung.

The edge-to-edge display seems to be pretty large (at least 5.5-inch), which puts it in the phablet category. LeEco's flagship will also pack a USB Type-C port and possibly a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor since there's no physical Home button in the front.

Rumor has it that the flagship will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and no less than 256GB of internal memory. It will probably lack microSD card slot for memory expansion, but the amount included by default should be enough even for heavy users.

LeEco's new flagship smartphone is expected to be unveiled sometime in April, but the phone might not be available until May or June due to the lack of Snapdragon 835 stocks.

As many of you probably know, Samsung has dibs on Qualcomm's 10nm FinFET chipset, so the Snapdragon 835 won't be commercially available until after the Galaxy S8 market launch, which is confirmed for April 21.

At this time, it's unclear whether or not LeEco will bring its flagship smartphone in the United States, just like it did with the Le Pro 3 last year.
