iOS developer Guilherme Rambo leaked what it would appear to be the release notes of the GM (Golden Master) build of Apple's upcoming watchOS 4.1 operating system for Apple Watch devices.

Of course, some of these features were already known to many of us from the beta versions of watchOS 4.1, but there are a few things in there that haven't been published by Apple until now. First of all, watchOS 4.1 will enable music streaming support on Apple Watch Series 3, as Apple promised when it unveiled the device last month.

Music streaming will be supported with both Apple Music and your iCloud Music Library, but watchOS 4.1 also comes with a new Radio app that lets you listen to live radio on Beats 1, custom radio stations, as well as radio stations curated by experts. In addition, you can use Siri to find, discover and play music albums, songs, or playlists.

Users will be able to disconnect from Wi-Fi networks

Among other new features that Apple implemented in the watchOS 4.1 software update, we can mention support for syncing fitness data with GymKit-capable stair steppers, ellipticals, treadmills, and indoor bikes to have more accurate information about your execises, such as burn, pace, or distance metrics.

Takling about fitness, the upcoming update no longer sends notifications about Heart Rate on Apple Watch Series 1 or later devices if the feature was disabled, and will allow users to disconnect from Wi-Fi networks if they own an Apple Watch Series 3 device with GPS and Cellular, a setting that you'll find in Control Center.

Other than that, it looks like watchOS 4.1 will re-enable support for Stand Reminders, restores Mandarin as default dictation language for Chinese users, improves charging for 1st generation Apple Watch devices, fixes the current Stand hour indicator, and makes it possible for haptics to be delivered for silent alarms.

watchOS 4.1 is currently at Beta 4, but if these are the real GM release notes, than it won't be long until Apple will publish the GM builds, which registered developer can install from their Apple Developer account. Of course, the final release won't be far away either, so watch out for the watchOS 4.1 update in the coming days.
