14 DAY TRIAL // The elusive Oppo Find 9 has been the talk of the town for a few years now, but the Chinese company is still mum on the release of the phone. In fact, we don't even know if the smartphone is in the works or whether or not it will be unveiled this year.
Although Oppo is one of the top smartphone makers in China, the biggest market in the world, its last flagship dates back from 2014 when the Find 7 was launched.
Rumored to arrive last year, the Oppo Find 9 was a no show, but 2017 might just be the year when the Chinese company will take the wraps off its flagship smartphone.
New information coming from China points to an imminent Oppo Find 9 announcement. A couple of images showing the phone and the logo of the operating system have been published online.
Unfortunately, there's no way to confirm that the phone in these images is really the Oppo Find 9, so we'll take this with a grain of salt.
However, if this is indeed the Oppo Find 9, then the Chinese company has done a great job design-wise. The smartphone features an almost bezel-less form factor, as the left and right edges are impossibly thin, while the top and bottom bezels are very small as well.
Along with these official press pictures of the alleged Oppo Find 9, some details about the phone's specs leaked as well. Apparently, the phone will be a beast, at least on paper. It will be available in two variations based on the chipset inside.
The most powerful version will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
The slightly cheaper model will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.
One other piece of information revealed is the fact that Oppo Find 9 won't be running the company's Color OS Android-based operating system.
Instead, the phone will ship with the new Find OS, which is supposed to include new AI features. Oppo Find 9 is now expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2017, so fingers crossed.
