Check to see if your phone will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Google has recently unveiled the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and supported Nexus devices (Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 7 2013 and Nexus Player) are bound to get it soon enough.

Some info about select smartphones coming from other manufacturers like Samsung, LG, Motorola or HTC has also transpired online, but today a leaked list picked up by Gizmo China reveals more information about which models from each manufacturer are bound to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

As you’d normally expect, flagships are going to get the update first, followed by the mid-rangers. So take a look at the list below to see whether your smartphone is included.

Can you find your model?

Samsung will provide the Android 6.0 update for the Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 (and Galaxy S6 edge), Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S5, Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A7 first. Subsequently, the Galaxy A5, A4 and Galaxy E series will get it too.

Moving on to HTC, the One M9, One M9+, One M8, One E9, One E9+ and One E8 will get the first wave of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, while the HTC Desire Eye and HTC Desire 820 series will get the same treatment at a later date.

Sony plans to update a whole bunch of devices to the new build, including the Xperia M5, C5 Ultra, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z3v, Z3 Compact, Z2, Xperia Z Ultr GPE (Google Play Edition). The original Xperia Z1 will also get the update later on. Oddly enough, there’s no mention of the newly unveiled Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium.

Recently, we've revealed that the new update for the LG G3 and G4 is possibly in the works and now we have the confirmation. What’s more, the Flex 2 will also get the Marshmallow treatment in the first wave. In the second wave, we can expect the G2, G2 Pro and G Flex to receive the bump-up.

As for ASUS, the phone maker is bound to update the entire Zenfone 2 series, plus the Zenfone 2 Laser, Deluxe, Zenfone Selfie. The Zenfone 6, 5 and 4 will get the update later on.

The OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 are also scheduled to get a taste of Marshmallow via the OxygenOS skin. Xiaomi is also said to have plans to update a bunch of models, including the Mi4, Mi4i, Mi Note, Mi Note Pro, Redmi Note 2, Redmi 2 (&Prime). The Redmi Note (2014) and Redmi 1S will also get it at some point in the distant future.

Last but not least, Huawei is expected to provide the new update to the Ascent P8, Mate 7, Honor 6 Plus, and more.
