The Vivaldi development team, through Atle Mo, has been happy to announce the release and immediate availability for download of yet another snapshot build for the upcoming Vivaldi 1.0 web browser.

Based on Chromium 48.0.2564.88, Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.380.2 is here to implement a new option under the Appearance settings, which promises to allow users to change the color of the area behind tabs. This will come in handy when keeping multiple windows open so that you can distinguish them much easily.

The option is currently disabled by default in Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.380.2, so you'll need to enable it under Settings -> Appearance -> Interface Color -> Use Page Theme Color in User Interface -> Color Area behind Tabs, which will flip the user interface's color from the active tab to go behind the current tab.

"Even though we’re focusing a lot on bug fixing these days, we still find the time to have some fun and give you more settings," says Atle Mo in the release announcement. "We love options, you all know that. So today we’re adding a new choice under our Appearance settings, called 'Color Area behind Tabs.'"

WhatsApp Web works again in Vivaldi

In addition to the new tab background coloring option mentioned above, the Vivaldi team has also managed to fix various bugs that have been reported by users since the previous snapshot, as well as to add various improvements, such as better support for WhatsApp Web, and for Netflix and YouTube videos on the Mac OS X platform.

As usual, below we've attached the official changelog for those of you curious to know what exactly has been changed, and in the meantime, you can download Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.380.2 for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia.
