Amid talk that she’s lawyering up for the custody fight, because she plans to give no visitation time to her now-ex, a new report claims there’s hope for reconciliation still.
Apparently, Kourtney believes her dumping him and her preparing for what she anticipates will be a bitter custody fight will actually motivate Scott to seek professional help for his issues with alcohol and drugs, Us Weekly reports.
“She wants him back”
The two were never married, but they do have 3 children together. As fans of the family’s reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, must know, they also have a history of fighting and breaking up, mostly over Scott’s inability to stay sober and act like a responsible partner.
So when photos of him getting handsy with his ex-girlfriend in Monte Carlo emerged online, followed by even more pics showing him under the influence, Kourtney lost her temper.
She may have never intended for the split to be definitive, the report suggests, but one thing is clear: she wants Scott back and she will take him in again, on the condition that he promises to her he will get help.
“She hopes this will scare him enough to get help,” says a spy. “If he gets to the point where he is really changing she'll let him come home.”
The only thing that Kourtney is afraid of right now is that Scott hasn’t been “begging” her to take him back as he usually does whenever they fight and “break up.”
Do you smell a publicity stunt?
This new report (in the Kardashian-friendly Us Weekly, no less) may actually be paving the way for the reconciliation, after weeks of covering all the details of the supposed nasty split.
There have been voices saying all along that the fight and the subsequent split were nothing short of a publicity stunt, which would be turned into material for a new story arc on the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The fact that neither Scott nor Kourtney would confirm the split for the media was the first indication of that, by the way.
With this new report, the possibility that this may have been just another Kardashian publicity stunt is stronger.
