14 DAY TRIAL // It’s curtain call for one of the most popular couples in reality television: Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, who have been together since 2006, have split. News of this comes hot on the heels of compromising photos of Disick in Monte Carlo and reports that he was off the wagon again.
Official confirmation is still pending, but TMZ, People Magazine and E! News (the unofficial Kardashian channel) are confirming it through their reliable sources.
Scott fell off the wagon, hasn’t been around for a while
Kourtney and Scott started dating in 2006 and just welcomed a child in December 2015, their third. It was then that he promised her he would be around more for her and the kids, and that he would continue on the sober path he had started.
Scott was always what you might describe as a party animal, but in recent years, his drinking and substance abuse took a seriously bad turn.
Before the end of last week, photos of Scott with an ex-girlfriend, celebrity stylist Chloe Bartoli, getting very touchy feely in Monte Carlo emerged online. With them came fresh reports of a wild lifestyle that included plenty of booze and drugs, one that Kourtney couldn’t have possibly agreed with.
Word has it that, at the time this was happening, Scott hadn’t been living with Kourtney and the kids for over a month. Similarly, he’d been telling people in Monte Carlo that he was “single,” which would explain why he made no attempt to hide his heavy flirting with Bartoli.
Kourtney has had it, she needs to do what is best for the kids
According to sources speaking to E!, Kourtney has reached the end of her tether with Scott. She stood by him for years even though he made very few attempts at keeping his promises to her, but now that the children are in the picture, she can’t turn a blind eye to this kind of behavior anymore.
She wants to make the right decision for the kids, if she can’t make it for herself.
“She’s fed up,” says one source. “It’s humiliating and disrespectful. How much more is she supposed to take? Scott does not seem to care about what he’s doing. He’s clearly unraveling. He was a mess in NYC last month with the drinking and partying and he’s been in a downward spiral ever since. He’s been in trouble before, but this is on another level.”
As of now, neither Kourtney nor Scott has made any kind of public statement about the split. This being one of the Kardashians we’re talking about, chances are more details will be included on the upcoming season of their reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
If the actual split won’t be shown, at least fans (and longtime supporters of this often-troubled couple) will get to see the events leading up to it.
