14 DAY TRIAL // The developers behind the Fedora-based Korora Linux distribution have had the great pleasure of announcing earlier today, November 8, the immediate availability for download and testing of Korora 23 Beta.
According to the release notes, the Beta build of the upcoming Korora 23 Linux kernel-based operating system is dubbed Coral and has been rebased on the recently released Fedora 23 GNU/Linux distribution.
Being derived from Fedora 23, Korora 23 Linux inherits all of Fedora's goodies, such as the latest GNOME 3.18 desktop environment and LibreOffice 5.0 office suite, along with the KDE Plasma 5.4.2, MATE 1.10, Cinnamon 2.6, and Xfce 4.12 desktop environments.
"Our beta release is the last important milestone before the final release of Korora 23. Of course, as this is a beta release, some problems may still be lurking, and we are keen to hear about any issues people encounter so that we can improve it for the final release," reads the announcement.
Korora 23 is now in development
Korora 23 (Coral) has just entered development and is currently distributed with the regular GNOME, KDE, Xfce, Cinnamon, and MATE editions, all of them including updated packages, bugfixes, and many under-the-hood improvements.
Of course, you should expect the same tweaks that the previous versions of the Korora Linux distribution received on all of the flavors mentioned above, and updates to their core components.
