14 DAY TRIAL // The number of apps available in the Windows Store is growing, but the good news is not necessarily that users can choose from a wide variety of titles, but rather the fact that more big companies are willing to bring their software to Windows 10.
The latest such example is none other than Konami, who has decided to launch the original Bomberman game on Windows 10 through the store.
Unfortunately for those who have already rushed to the store to download it, Bomberman is not free but features a $2.49 (€2.10) price tag. On the other hand, a trial version is available for those who want to give it a shot before purchasing it.
No Windows 10 Mobile version just yet
There’s not much to say about this game because Bomberman is already a famous title, and if you do like classic arcade games, this is pretty much the best choice for you and your friends. At the moment, this isn’t a universal app, so it just works on PCs running Windows 10. There’s no mention of whether the company plans to bring it on devices running Windows 10 Mobile or not, but we’re pretty sure that users on this platform would love to have Bomberman on their phones too.
On PCs, Konami’s Bomberman comes with support for gamepads, keyboard, and touch controls, so you can also play it on tablets with Windows 10. This is why it shouldn’t be too hard to bring it on smartphones, since the touch support is already there, although adjusting screen size to the one of the phone might be a challenge.
But without a doubt, Bomberman is an exciting addition to the Windows Store, so make sure you give it a shot on your Windows 10 PC. It was released in 1993, so it’s quite a gem, and nobody should miss it.
P.S.: Specs published in the store indicate that Bomberman should also be available on Windows 8.1 in the store, but we can’t see it just yet. Several readers have also confirmed this for us, so for the moment, the Windows 10 version seems to be the only one up for grabs.
