Kim Kardashian monetizes everything, whether it’s her squabbles with her sisters on the family’s reality show, the men in her life, and whether she’s adding new members to the family. Speaking of which, all pregnancy-related announcements so far have been made in such a way as to make her an even richer woman.

Not the latest, though. Kim announced she and husband Kanye West had finally gotten pregnant for the second time in a teaser for new episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but she casually revealed the sex of the baby in a tweet sent out on Father’s Day.

Kim and Kanye are expecting a son

Some hours ago, Kim took to Twitter to say a few words on Father’s Day. She talked about her own dad, the late attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., whom she still considers her hero and of whom she has only endearing memories.

She also said a few words about her husband, Kanye, father to their 2-year-old daughter North West, aka Nori, accompanying her messages with sweet photos of the two together.

Then, in her last message, she dropped the bomb on her fans: she and Kanye were having a baby boy. Rumor has it that he’s due in the winter, probably in December, and Kim has already said that they’re not even considering a directional name.

If you were one of the thousands hoping they would name the kid, whether a boy or a girl, “South,” you’re in for a disappointment: Kim said a short while ago that such a name is stupid and “just ridiculous.” So it’s not happening.

Kim works through her second pregnancy

In other Kim-related news, she’s become an expert on the objectification of women in the media, with People Magazine reporting that she’ll be holding a lecture / seminar on the topic, among other things.

The event is called Kim Kardashian West Live! And will take place the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, California, on June 30. It doubles as promotion for her book of selfies “Selfish,” which came out in April this year, and will set you back at least $40 (€35.2), if you’re thinking of attending.

Kim will talk of her selfie game, her “skill” of capitalizing on every aspect of her personal life and, yes, the objectification of women in the media. Considering the way she rose to fame on her own, post-Paris Hilton fame, that last part is the very definition of “ironic.”
