14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this month, KFC China introduced two new and rather odd-looking burgers: a pitch-black one and a pink one that, truth be told, looks more like a marshmallow or some other fluffy desert.
Apparently, the move was intended to attract customers by getting them interested in sampling bizarre junk food, Mirror reports. And a brilliant move it turned out to be.
Not long after the so-called Black diamond bacon spicy chicken leg burger and the Rose cheese roasted chicken leg burger made their debut, photos of the peculiar dishes flooded social media.
Fast food giant KFC is being quite secretive about how the black and the pink buns were created, but it's safe to presume the burgers' peculiar colors don't have much of an impact on taste.
Otherwise, chances are people would have stopped buying them after just one bite. Judging by the popularity of the burgers on social media, they likely taste quite nice.
In case anyone was wondering, KFC's Black diamond bacon spicy leg burger and Rose cheese roasted chicken leg burger each retail for $2.80 (about €2.50), which is actually reasonable.
The bad news is that, if you don't already live in China but are desperate to give them a try, you'll also have to cough up some money for the trip there.
Earlier this year, one other fast food chain tried its hand at attracting customers by launching a bizarre treat not usually on its menu. Thus, it was on April 1 that Burger King debuted a beef-scented perfume.
