Kelly Clarkson has been keeping a secret from the world and she accidentally revealed it to her fans in the middle of a concert in Los Angeles last night. She and husband Brandon Blackstock are expecting their second child together.

Kelly gets emotional, accidentally reveals baby news

The big reveal happened in concert in Los Angeles, at the Staples Center, where Kelly was performing as part of her Piece by Piece Tour. She was singing the love ballad “Piece by Piece” when she found she was unable to carry on because she was getting too emotional.

She later told concertgoers that she didn’t want them to think that she was on the pill or at that time of the month, so she blurted out that she was actually pregnant with her second child.

“I was not planning on announcing this,” she said as the fans cheered her on, while she oscillated between crying and laughter. “I’m totally pregnant.”

The announcement was met, as you can see in the videos below, with even louder cheers from the fans. Kelly later admitted that she was nervous about meeting Brandon after the show, because she hadn’t consulted with him on making the announcement.

So she really hadn’t planned on breaking the news when she did.

Kelly and Brandon have been trying for some time

Kelly and Brandon have a 14-month daughter River and they never made a secret of wanting more children. However, Kelly said in an interview, the first pregnancy was extremely difficult and she wasn’t exactly looking forward to the experience of being pregnant.

Still, she wanted another child so she was toughing herself up to deal with everything that came with that. She hoped for a boy, so they would have the “perfect” little family.

So far, it seems that she’s been having an easy pregnancy. As she joked with the fans at the LA concert, the only tell-tale sign she was carrying had been her emotional state. They should have been grateful she hadn’t puked during the show, she said laughing.
