Don’t cry for Kate Gosselin, thinking she was left “devastated” and “blindsided” after her millionaire boyfriend Jeff Prescott dumped her. You can’t be dumped if you’re not dating anyone, she says on Twitter.

The reality star and mom of 8 is speaking out to deny a report from earlier this week, saying her secret romance to Prescott, which is believed to have started in January, came to a sudden end when he chose a much younger woman over her.

Kate Gosselin is fine, definitely not dumped

Kate never confirmed she and Prescott were an item, but they were spotted on a couple of romantic dates and the paparazzi shots snapped on the occasion were enough to “confirm” the relationship.

This week’s news that Prescott had dumped her for a younger woman (a model, no less!) came as a shock both to Kate’s fans and, reportedly, to Kate. Apparently, she had talked the millionaire into agreeing to appear on her reality show, after producers decided the romance would make for a great story arc.

Prescott is famously media-shy, so getting him to say yes was a major accomplishment for Kate, as she took it as a sign that their relationship was getting really, really serious.

Two days before he was supposed to show up on set in New York, he bailed on the show - and her, the report said. Within days, he was traveling the world with another woman, a 26-year-old model and businesswoman, which reportedly broke Kate’s heart.

Kate denied the breakup ever happened, for the simple reason that there was never a relationship to speak of. You can see her tweet on the issue below.

Jon Gosselin may or may not have mocked her for getting dumped

Because nothing ever gets out in the media about Kate without at least a mention of her ex-husband Jon Gosselin, he is now forced to issue a denial for a report that he mocked her for getting dumped.

Jon and Kate rose to international fame with TLC’s long-defunct reality series Jon and Kate Plus 8, and they have been on the worst terms since the divorce. So when news broke that Jon had mocked her on a private Facebook account for being dumped by a millionaire, everyone assumed it was the real deal.

It wasn’t, Jon tells ET Online. The account isn’t his and he has no control over it. Plus, he would never trash his kids’ mother in the press or on social media, not now when they’re teenagers and they can look it up online.
