14 DAY TRIAL // Justin Bieber has had a rough couple of years, but now that he’s made his amends, he wants to be back in the spotlight for something else than his bad-boy behavior. He’s coming out with a new album this year, and the first single off it is “What Do You Mean?”
Bieber had long confirmed the name of the leading single as well as the fact that he would be performing it live at this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards 2015. Minutes ago, he also dropped the lyric video for the track, which, as it so happens, means fans can finally listen to it in full.
You can see it in full below. It seems that Bieber was motivated and inspired by the success of his previous collaboration with Diplo and Skrillex, “Where Are U Now?,” because “What Do You Mean?” sounds very familiar.
It’s upbeat, EDM-influences, but sleek and typically Justin at the same time. He did say that he was working with many EDM producers, so perhaps this is the sound we’re to expect from his entire album, when it comes out.
The lyric video includes skateboard tricks from Ryan Sheckler and Chelsea Castro, but if you watch it until the end, you will see Justin also makes an appearance - and even does some tricks as well. Shirtless, of course.
