Avalanche Studios, the original creators of the Just Cause franchise, have just launched a mobile game called Rumble City. The same studio that's no working to bring Mad Max on PC and consoles, is bringing Android and iOS gamers an interesting title.

Rumble City is only available on Android and iOS platforms, and for the time being there's no word on bringing it to Windows Phone.

In fact, it's too early to talk about that since the game has just been released and there's no way to tell how popular it will become among Android and iOS players to justify a Windows Phone port.

But what exactly is Rumble City? Well, according to developers, Rumble City is a tactical puzzle game seen through the lens of 1960s American biker culture.

However, instead of an open world players will be able to play the game on a strategic battle board, while the massive destruction makes way to cartoon brawling.

Moreover, instead of the traditional, singular action hero, players will be able to take advantage of a diverse cast of rugged bikers and street thugs.

"We lovingly refer to their invention as 'biker chess'"

Avalanche Studios also confirmed that this is their first mobile game released and that “it’s a passion project for a small strike team with a deep affection for tactical gameplay and 1960’s American biker culture.”

You can now download Rumble City for Android for free via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.

Keep in mind that Rumble City for iOS will be launched on July 9, so look for it on App Store around that date.

It's also worth mentioning that while the game is free to download, it comes with in-app purchases, so if you don't plan on spending real money you can disable this feature from within the game.
