Anna Duggar, Josh Duggar’s wife, is looking at dealing with the second major scandal this year involving her husband: first he was exposed as a child molester and now he got busted cheating on her through Ashley Madison, the website working under the tagline “Life’s short, have an affair.”

Few would judge her if she decided to divorce him, but she has no plans in this sense, sources familiar with the situation say for People Magazine. Not only will Anna stand by Josh through all this but she will also be looking at her past behavior, to see if there was something she could have done to prevent him from cheating.

How Josh Duggar got caught

Though Ashley Madison promises complete confidentiality to its paying customers, it couldn’t do that: earlier this year, the site was hacked, and now, whoever is responsible for it has been releasing batches of data online.

Anyone having doubts about their partner can now check to see if they used their email addresses to subscribe to the cheating website. This is how Josh Duggar got caught: in addition to the email, he also used as billing address the home in which TLC shot the now-defunct reality series 19 Kids and Counting.

For almost 2 years, he had 2 different paying accounts to help him hook up with women, and he was very specific when it came to the kind of lover he wanted.

In a statement released some hours ago, Duggar owned up to his infidelities and initially tried to blame his behavior on an addiction to adult material (and Satan). His parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, revised his statement to erase that.

Wife will stand by him

Josh also asked the supporters of the family to pray for his wife. She will need all support she can get because she’s not divorcing him, despite the shocking revelations brought to light - shocking particularly because he’s a deeply religious man and family values activist.

“Anna will not leave him,” says the source. She must be praying right now, while thinking of a way to “absorb some of the blame” for what happened. “Maybe not publicly, ever, but privately, there will be some suggestion of whether or not she should have been more aware of the pressures Josh was under, of the issues he was facing, and how she could have better counseled him or helped him.”

Family comes first

Cheating, especially of the serial kind, is usually enough to end a marriage, but not in the Duggars’ case. The report (which, coming from People, was probably sanctioned by the family) claims that Anna will put her family before herself.

She won’t even consider divorce an actual option and will do whatever is asked of her to save her marriage and keep the family together for the children. Jim Bob and Michelle will be there to help her.
