Ashley Madison Hack reveals he paid $987 (€887.2) to have affairs between February 2013 and May 2015

Ashley Madison, the website that aims to provide a meeting place for married men and women looking to cheat on their spouses, was hacked earlier this year, and as promised, a first batch of data has been made public. The name of Josh Duggar has been uncovered in the files by Gawker: apparently, he had 2 different paid accounts on the website, which ultimately served to up his chances of finding more women with whom to cheat on his wife.

In case you were wondering, that would be the same Josh Duggar who, earlier this year, was exposed as a child abuser, after a 2006 police report revealed he had molested 5 minor girls when he was a teen, 4 of whom were his own sisters. This is the same Josh Duggar who starred on the now-defunct TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, a series revolving around a deeply religious and traditional family.

This too is the same Josh Duggar as the one who, until the child molestation scandal, was executive director of the Family Research Council, whose purpose was to promote family values.

Josh Duggar paid to cheat

Data obtained by Gawker confirms that payment was made from credit card belonging to Joshua J. Duggar for 2 different accounts on Ashley Madison. The total was of almost $987 (€887.2) and included a special fee for an “affair guarantee.”

This person is the same as the Josh Duggar we know because the billing address is of the family home in Fayetteville, Arknsas, where the TLC reality show was shooting, the report notes.

It also includes details on what exactly Duggar was looking for in a lover: natural breasts and a good personal hygiene were a must, but he was not picky in terms of height, weight or color of the hair. He professed to being open to experimenting various stuff in between the sheets, but he also liked the more “vanilla” stuff like cuddling and kissing, and romantic baths for 2.

The women had to be disease- and drug-free, stylish, elegant and, if possible, in good shape. If they were witty and with a sense of humor, but also naughty and adventurous, it was a plus.

The hypocrisy of it all

The description from one account reads, “Looking for you! I’m really open! You let me know what your fantasy is and we’ll do it together!”

For the second account, Duggar was feeling a bit more wordy. “Do you have a spark? Let’s just see where this goes! I’m looking to have a steamy affair. I want to have a good time with someone who is passionate... and see where it leads!”

This second account was set up later, overlapping the first one by a few months, the report notes.

Again, this is a man who made it his life mission to stand on a soap box and preach to others. He would be the first whom the world expected to act on his words. So, if he wanted to teach others how important family values are, he should have respected them instead of paying to cheat on his wife.

Cheating is something that sometimes happens, and the popularity of this website and many others like it prove that it’s not as rare an incident as we might be tempted to believe. In Duggar’s case, it’s not so much the act of cheating that bothers, but rather that, all this time, he claimed he was different from those who did it.
