14 DAY TRIAL // Jolla's Android tablet has been selling like hot cakes in China and Hong Kong more recently, but the Finnish company promised its slate would eventually be released globally.
Although Jolla did not mention when exactly the tablet would be available for purchase outside China, there have been rumors that the Android devices should arrive in other countries by the end of this year.
Well, it looks like those rumors were true since Jolla has just announced that its tablet is now available for pre-order internationally.
Both versions (32GB and 64GB) can now be pre-ordered in various countries. According to the company, only a limited batch of Jolla Tablets is now available for pre-order through the Jolla Online Shop.
Price may vary by country
Potential customers can now pre-purchase the tablet for €267 for the 32GB model, and €299 for the 64GB variant, respectively, including VAT 24% (prices vary by country).
Keep in mind, though, that the Jolla Tablet is now available in all EU countries, Norway, Switzerland, United States, Canada, Australia, India, Hong Kong and Russia.
It's also worth mentioning that shipments for earlier Indiegogo backers will start in early September, while shipments to pre-order customers from this phase are expected to start in the end of October.
For those who never heard about Jolla Tablet, here is a short description offered by the manufacturer: “Jolla Tablet is a fresh newcomer to the tablet space and offers a superb, previously unseen user experience.
“Like all Jolla products, we’ve designed and developed the Jolla Tablet here in Finland with functionality, minimalism and style in mind.”
The tablet will ship with Sailfish OS 2.0 and sport a 7.85-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution.
Jolla Tablet is equipped with a 64-bit 1.8GHz quad-core Intel processor, which is complemented by 2GB RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory.
The tablet does not pack microSD card slot but offers a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2-megapixel selfie camera and a 4,450 mAh battery.
