Who would take over from Jimmy Fallon on his show when and if he decided to leave his Jimpire, or if something bad happened to him? Could he find someone to groom for the job from his own team, or would he have to look outside for suitable replacements?

All these questions and many more are answered in “Jimpire,” Fallon’s “Empire” parody, which sees him planning for a very somber future. A new season of the hit series is about to premiere, so Fallon got original stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson to appear in the spoof as well, playing the characters we’ve come to love: Lucious and Cookie.

You can see it in full and in HD below. It’s a must-see, perhaps one of Fallon’s best skits, but you can probably appreciate it best if you’re a fan of “Empire” because it’s packed with references to the show.

However, Fallon saves the best for last. After looking at potential candidates among Questlove, Dion Flynn, Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter and even Higgy, Juicy Jim (that’s Fallon) decides there can be only one person who could ever replace him.

I won’t reveal his or her identity here, but I will say this: it’s not who you might expect. You can find out who it is right at the end of the video.
