A couple of weeks ago, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux managed to pull off a seemingly impossible feat and got married in a secret ceremony in their backyard. Everything was so well organized that the media didn’t find out about it until more than 24 hours later, as the newlyweds were already on their way to the honeymoon.

Both Justin and Jennifer are back from Bora Bora, and going back to work. The other night, the former “Friends” actress stepped out for the premiere of her new film, “She’s Funny That Way,” making her first red carpet appearance since tying the knot.

Aniston shows off wedding bling, sans engagement diamond ring

Since the wedding news took everyone by surprise, the world had been waiting for Jennifer to return from the honeymoon for a first glimpse at the wedding band, and maybe some details about the ceremony as well.

E! News caught up with her on the red carpet, and while she didn’t say anything about the ceremony, she did reveal that calling Justin her husband felt “quite natural.” The report notes that she was “giddy” and glowing with a post-holiday tan, which she tried to jokingly attribute to strong lighting and sweat.

Aniston wore an all-black Roland Mouret outfit with wide pants, which she accessorized with gold jewelry and, of course, a brand new wedding band.

Maybe she wanted to draw attention to the diamond-encrusted band, but she ditched her gorgeous and impressively-sized diamond engagement ring for once.

Before you believe reports that Jennifer walked the red carpet alone because she and Justin had some kind of major fight on the honeymoon and were thinking of getting an annulment, she told the e-zine that he had to go to Austin to shoot for the new season of HBO’s “The Leftovers.”

A surprise wedding, a different kind of honeymoon

Jennifer and Justin managed to keep the wedding a secret by telling everyone, including guests and staff, that she was throwing him a surprise birthday party. They handled all arrangements in a house adjacent to their property, which is also owned by Aniston, and moved everything to the location hours before the event, through the woods.

They married in the middle of the week, which, again, was meant to throw the media off. The next day after the party, they boarded a jet and flew to Bora Bora, where they continued the party.

Jennifer and Justin invited their best friends, including Jason Bateman and Courteney Cox, with their respective partners, to join them on their honeymoon. They wanted it to feel like a joint celebration, so they decided against going on the trip alone.

While there, they also celebrated his 44th birthday.
