14 DAY TRIAL // The 2017 iPhone is expected to be a major overhaul of the current model, mostly because it marks the 10th anniversary of the device, so features like a glass body, no bezels, an iris scanner, and a home button integrated into the display are all being rumored.
And the concept you see here has been created mostly based on these rumors, imagining what the iPhone 8 could look like if all of these were to be implemented.
While there’s usually a big difference between concepts and what manufacturers actually launch, it’s worth saying that this iPhone 8 concept actually looks pretty good and doable, especially because Apple is indeed expected to integrate these features without changing the form factor in a substantial manner.
And this is what the concept actually envisions. The look of the device has been redesigned only slightly, but it does feature a glass body similar to what we’ve seen on the iPhone 4 and rumored to come with the next-generation model.

Additionally, the concept imagines an iPhone with no bezels, which does make sense given the fact that Apple is aiming for a sleeker look, but also without a Home button. Rumor has it that Apple would integrate the Home button into the screen, so in order to scan the fingerprint, you’d only need to touch a certain area of the display.
The concept also envisions what the creator calls the iPhone 8 Pro, which is essentially a 5.8-inch iPhone that also supports Apple Pencil and comes with a USB Type connector - this is very unlikely, though, given Apple’s investments in the Lightning port.
And last but not least, a white iPhone is also imagined, and so is iris scanning, a feature that would add to the security of the iPhone and come as a bonus over the fingerprint scanner. Iris scanners have been around for a while on phones, including on Microsoft’s Lumia 950 XL, and there are rumors that Apple itself is considering adding them as well.
Of course, it goes without saying that this is just a concept and there’s little chance to see everything implemented on the iPhone 8, but Apple would really do itself a favor should it decide to ask its engineers to check out this project.
