iPhone 7 Plus is the latest Apple flagship, and it was very well received on the market worldwide after its launch last year. ColorWare, a company that specializes in creating custom-made electronic devices and skins, is now selling an iPhone 7 Plus with vintage design.

ColorWare calls the new device the iPhone 7 Plus Retro and offers it SIM free and unlocked, with 256GB of internal storage. The phone will be available for a limited time only and orders currently ship in 2-3 weeks.

That’s not the only disadvantage; the iPhone 7 Plus with 256GB of storage currently sells for $969 in the United States, while ColorWare’s Retro variant goes for $1,899. The Retro model has a multicolored Apple logo on the back and dark beige edge stripes painted over an originally Black colored iPhone 7 Plus.

The first models will include a number of authenticity

ColorWare has stated that the first 25 iPhone 7 Plus Retro units will include an authenticity number on the back, thus making the phone even more exclusive. Perhaps, in a few years, models with authenticity numbers closest to 1 will sell well on retailer websites like eBay.

The company did provide details about the customization process, saying that iPhone 7 Plus phones go through an intensive process of disassembly, cleaning, masking, painting and inspection. The device is then buffed and reassembled, after which it’s subjected to the final inspection stage and packaged into the original retail box.

The iPhone 7 Plus Retro Edition includes EarPods, a Lightning to USB cable, a USB Power Adapter, and documentation in the box.

The phone’s other specs are the same, dual-camera 12MP setup on the back with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. Front-camera capacity is 7MP, while the phone has a 5.5-inch display, 2,900mAh battery, 3GB of RAM and lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
