Apple is expected to take the wraps off the iPhone SE later today, but the iPhone 7 coming in the fall seems to generate much more excitement for iFans across the world, mostly thanks to rumors pointing to some pretty major upgrades prepared by the company.

A new concept created by designer Miroslav Majdak provides us with an idea on what the iPhone 7 could look like based on some of the most realistic rumors, including the one pointing to the removal of the 3.5mm audio jack.

“It was created in naturaly design process where a lot of brainstorming were used to reimagine the iPhone as a significant product,” the designer explains.

Although the design of the envisioned iPhone 7 remains very similar to the one of the iPhone 6, there are several refinements and improvements in almost every single point.

“When you meet the iPhone 7 for the first time, you’ve never felt anything like it,” the designer explains, pointing out that the device could come with a new 3D Touch system and haptic engine for a wider selection of vibrations.

Side buttons with haptic feedback

Still made from 7000 series aluminum, the iPhone 7 could come with a smaller and thinner body as compared to its predecessor, and offer excellent one-hand usability. iOS 10 would also contribute to one-hand support, offering new features to make it easier to reach either side of the phone.

The antenna lines are no longer there on the back of the iPhone, just like rumored, while the camera has been moved closer to the top left corner. Volume and power buttons use a Force Touch technology to offer haptic feedback when you press them, similar to physical buttons on some Android devices.

There will be black bezel over the entire face of the phone to make it look sleeker, while the home button is no longer there, being replaced with Touch ID technology built directly into the screen.

Certainly, this concept proposes some pretty exciting ideas that would significantly overhaul the iPhone, so let’s just hope that Apple sees it and at least takes into consideration the ideas presented here.
