Boston-based BostInno is reporting via unnamed sources that Apple will begin taking pre-orders for its next-generation handset as early as tomorrow, September 12.

Citing no sources in particular, the site reports, “We can now confirm iPhone 5 release date is on September 12th at a major Apple event and expected to hit stores on September 21st,” which is in line with most rumors on the matter, not to mention Apple’s annual timetable.

“The iPhone 5 will be available for pre-order on Sept. 12,” it then states, adding that “Apple will take down and update the online store making the device available for ordering.”

Indeed Apple generally takes down its online store when such changes need to go into effect. BostInno clarifies that Apple’s iPhone 5 will not ship until September 21st, which is “the day that the iPhone will be released in stores.”

Again, everything here is in line with tradition. The rumors shouldn’t even be taken into account.
