We reported yesterday that, after having some downtime issues with several of its services, Apple started seeding the fourth Beta build of the anticipated iOS 9 mobile operating system.

The iOS 9 Beta 4 release for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch is available to developers enrolled in the Apple Developer Program, but today Apple announced that the second Public Beta build of iOS 9 is available to users worldwide through the regular channels.

Anyone who wants to jump ship and install the Public Beta build of the next-generation iOS 9 mobile operating system from Apple can do so by reading our in-depth how to install iOS 9 Public Beta on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices tutorial.

As you can see from the screenshot attached on the right, Apple did not publish any details about the new features or bugfixes implemented in the second Public Beta build of iOS 9, but rest assured that there are many under-the-hood improvements.

On iPhone 6, the update has approximately 300 MB, so it should be an easy update for everyone. After the update, you will notice that some icons in the Settings app have been changed.
