A few minutes ago, January 11, 2016, Apple started seeding the first Beta build of the iOS 9.3 mobile OS for iPhone, iPad or iPod touch developers that are enrolled in the Apple Developer program.

Who ever thought of that? Apple starting development on the next major version of its powerful mobile operating system, iOS 9.3, while still working hard on fixing bugs for the upcoming point release of the iOS 9.2 build.

Tagged as build 13E5181d, iOS 9.3 Beta 1 is now live on your Apple Developer account, so you can get the IPSW images under the SDKs section for iOS. However, please keep in mind that this is a pre-release version.

At the moment of writing this article, Apple has not provided any details about the changes that have been implemented in this first Beta build of iOS 9.3, but we believe that it fixes bugs and improves the overall performance of the mobile OS.

"This is a pre-release version of iOS 9.3 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Devices updated to iOS 9.3 can not be restored to earlier versions of iOS. This download requires Apple Developer Program membership," states Apple.

iOS 9.3 coming later this year

As Apple never publishes any roadmap for its upcoming iOS builds, no matter if we're talking about point release or major versions, we can only assume that the iOS 9.2.1 will be released to current iOS 9.2 users this spring, and iOS 9.3 is coming later this year.

iOS 9.3 will most probably pack some interesting features, but for now, we only know that it will allow iPhone users to pair their devices with multiple Apple Watches, there will be a NightShift mode to protect your circadian rhythms, and Siri will support the Hebrew language.

As more Beta builds will be released in the near future, we should have more details about the upcoming features of iOS 9.3, but until then, you can take it for a test drive right away on your registered devices.
