One day after releasing iOS 9.1 Beta to developers, Apple also makes it available for all public beta testers who have installed the first beta of the latest iOS pre-release.

This time, Apple has also published a changelog for iOS 9.1 Beta 2, containing all the changes in the latest 9.1 pre-release, some iCloud Keychain and AppleID fixes being the ones most noteworthy.

First of all, 9.1 Beta 2 fixes an issue in the iOS AppleID feature where iForgot links might fail to work. This fix is also followed by one for a known issue saying that users should not use different AppleIDs for App Store and iCloud because this might cause the Setup Assistant to freeze.

Moreover, the second 9.1 Beta squashes an iCloud Keychain bug that might cause it to stop syncing with your other devices if the passcode is changed while the Airplane Mode is activated.

On iPads running iOS 9.1 Beta 1, users might have been unable to finish activating Keychain in Settings. This bug is now fixed in 9.1 Beta 2 together with an issue preventing one to set up iCloud Keychain using an account with Two-Factor Authentication if the Setup Assistant is not completed straightaway.

Furthermore, this iOS pre-release version also fixes a sign-in failure in the Setup Assistant caused by using a random Keychain security code and tapping Back when the sign-in prompt appears.

After installing 9.1 Beta on your iOS device, restoring to an earlier version is not possible

As Apple states on the iOS 9.1 Beta 2 release notes page, once you update your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to iOS 9.1, you will not be able to restore it to a previous iOS version.

Additionally, if you have iOS 9.1 Beta 1 running on your iOS device, you will be able to update to the second beta of iOS 9.1 from Settings > General > Software Update.

The iOS 9.1 Beta 2 release can be installed on the following devices: iPhone 4s or later, iPod touch (5th gen), and iPad 2 or later.
