Apple is expected to release iOS 11 this year, but concept videos showing new features have already started surfacing online. The latest was posted by YouTuber Jacek Zieba and reveals dark mode and group FaceTime calling on iPhones.

The video shows how dark mode might look on iOS. Such a feature has long been awaited by iOS users and Apple could very well implement it in the next iOS version. The feature is imagined as a form of Night Mode that changes the theme across applications installed on the phone.

Apple did introduce a new and requested Theater Mode in the first developer beta for watchOS 3.2, one that allows users to mute the sound on their Apple Watch and avoid waking the screen on wrist raise. The feature was previously rumored to be a dark mode for iPhones, but that doesn’t mean that Apple has given up on such a plan for iOS 11.

Group FaceTime and split screen apps for the iPhone

In addition to a dark mode, the video also shows a feature that would allow multiple users to conduct FaceTime video calling and split the screen in multiple modes so that all users would be visible. At least three videos would be displayed on the screen and there’s also the option to change their position.

The Multiple users feature is also detailed, showing an option to pick from more than one user when in the lock screen. The concept video also shows some minor adjustments and tools, like rotation lock and new controls for video streaming. Moreover, the video imagines the split screen apps concept that’s very similar to Android Nougat.

Users would have the option to tap on the home button and split the screen in two, in order to operate different apps at the same time. It shows a video playing at the top of the screen, while scrolling through a web page at the bottom. Apple is expected to introduce iOS 11 at WWDC 2017 on June 5, and it remains to be seen if some of these features will be included in the new version.
