With iOS 11 just around the corner, we believe that many iPhone and iPad fans out there can't wait to get their hands on the new operating system, which is currently in final Beta stages of development.

Apple seeded earlier today the sixth Beta release of iOS 11 to registered developers, along with the fifth Public Beta to public beta testers, both builds shipping with pretty much the same improvements and changes, and the editorial team over at iDownloadBlog was first to put together a video with many of the new highlights.

As expected, the Beta 6/Public Beta 5 update of iOS 11 updates more app icons, this time for the App Store, Maps, Clock, Messages, and Reminders applications, as Apple is on a rampage to redesign the icons of all default, pre-installed apps on iOS. Moreover, there's now an informative splash screen to the Photos app, too.

Now Photos join the select apps that offer a splash screen with info on the new features implemented when it's opened for the first time, no matter if you've reinstalled iOS or updated to a major version, or you're just getting started with your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device.

An interesting thing in the design of the Maps app in iOS 11 is the fact that it features Apple's brand new Apple Park headquarters. Same goes for the new Clocks app icon, which is now animated and shows current time. iOS 11 Beta 6 also moves the Auto-Brightness toggle from the Display & Brightness settings to the Display Accommodations section under Accessibility.

New AirPods animation, fish live wallpapers removed

Among other noteworthy changes that have been discovered in iOS 11 Beta 6 until now, we can mention that there's a new AirPods animation with rotating headphones and case, but only when you open the AirPods' case near your iPhone device, and the Music app's Control Center toggle that was introduced in the Beta 5 update now turns blue when playing audio through Bluetooth.

It also looks like there's a new zoom-in animation when you unlock your iOS device, but we can't confirm it on our iPhone 7 device running iOS 11 Public Beta 5, yet you can see it in the video below. Lastly, iOS 11 Beta 6 apparently removed some fish-themed live wallpapers from the Wallpaper settings. If you discover any other changes, don't hesitate to drop a comment.
