Apple released earlier the fourth Beta of its upcoming iOS 11 mobile operating system for supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices to registered application developers with an active Apple Developer subscription.

The guys over at MacRumors managed to install the iOS 11 Beta 4 update, and they are now reporting on some of the new features and changes that Apple implemented since the Beta 3 update released two weeks ago. First off, there's now finally a swipe gesture to clear notifications on the lock screen, something that annoyed us from the first iOS 11 Beta.

As reported earlier, the Contacts, Notes, and Reminders apps got fresh new icons that look more modern, and it now looks like the Contacts icon in the Settings app was also changed accordingly to the new design, and Accounts & Passwords' icon was changed too, along with the Wi-Fi icon, which now appears to have more uniform and thicker lines.

New Capacity section in Settings' About screen, AirPlay improvements

Among other goodies that Apple implemented in the fourth iOS 11 Beta, we can mention a new Capacity section in Settings' About screen displaying device's total amount of storage, along with a dedicated AirDrop section that lets you toggled off the function, enable it for everyone or only to your contacts. Check out MacRumors' video collage below to see these changes in action.

Another thing that we can't live without and Apple delivered is the ability to swipe downwards to refresh App Store's Updates tab in search for new app updates. There are probably other changes that are yet to be discovered in the next few days, and while the iOS 11 Beta 4 is currently limited to registered developers, public beta testers will get all these goodies soon with the iOS 11 Public Beta 3 release.
