Apple is rolling out today the major iOS 11 software update to supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, revamping the iOS experience with new features, new apps, a new file system, and many other goodies.

iOS 11 has been unveiled earlier this year during Apple's WWDC 2017 developer conference, where the Cupertino-based company told us everything we needed to know about the upcoming features, which we'll try to present them to you at a glance in a separate article after its launch.

However, it would appear that not all those features will be available at launch, when you can finally update your devices to version 11.0. Some of those who have tried the GM (Golden Master) build of iOS 11 noticed that new features like Apple Pay Cash and Messages on iCloud.

Apple Pay Cash is an Apple Pay feature that should allow iPhone users to create a virtual debit card that they can use for sending and receiving money through the iMessage app. On the other hand, Messages on iCloud promised to free more space on our iOS devices by removing locally stored messages, syncing them to iCloud.

Apple says these features will be re-enabled in future updates

iOS 11.0 launched today, but minor point releases like iOS 11.0.1 or 11.1 will follow shortly, and they should re-enable these missing features, according to Apple. However, there's no telling with which iOS 11 point release they'll come, so you'll just have to make sure you have your devices up-to-date at all times.

One thing is for sure, iOS 11 will bring a lot of other awesome features to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch devices, which you'll have to discover during the next months, until Apple announces the next major version, iOS 12. Unfortunately, iOS 11 is only supporting iPhone 5S or later, iPod touch 6th-generation, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, and iPad Pro.
