If you've been reading the news lately, you might already know that today Apple unveiled the future of the iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS operating systems during a live keynote speech at the WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) 2016 event.

Apple started by telling us about the new features coming to the watchOS 3 operating system for Apple Watch devices, and tvOS 10 for Apple TV devices followed shortly. But the biggest news was the renaming of Mac OS X to macOS, introducing the upcoming Sierra release, and, of course, iOS 10.

If you've been reading our previous coverage, you'll likely be familiar with the new features coming to the iOS 10 and macOS Sierra operating systems later this fall, but Apple didn't announce everything that was changed in the major upcoming releases of iOS and macOS.

Finally, you can delete many of the default iOS apps

So now that the first Beta builds of the iOS 10 and macOS Sierra have been seeded to developers registered in the Apple Developer program, it looks like some features that were not revealed by Apple during its keynote address at WWDC 2016 have started to surface the web, as reported by those who've been able to install the Betas.

One of these hidden features is the ability for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users to delete some of the apps that are installed by default on the iOS 10 mobile operating system. Among them are Maps, Weather, Notes, Calendar, Watch, iTunes Store, Stocks, Voice Memos, iCloud Drive, Reminders, Music, Mail, Calculator, Podcasts, Tips, Contacts, Compass, Facetime, Videos, and the newly announced Home app.

Looking at the screenshots leaked on the Internet a few moments ago, attached at the end of the article courtesy of the AppleInsider website, some of the stock apps can't be removed. Among these, we can mention the Camera, App Store, News, Photos, Wallet, and Clock apps. Of course, the first thing many of you will do after upgrading to iOS 10 is to remove most of the default apps, which can be installed at any time from the App Store.
