Intex Technologies is one of the many Indian handset makers that launch Android smartphones almost every week. The latest addition to Intex's portfolio of Android phones is the Aqua Ace.

According to a new report, the device is now available for purchase in India for just Rs 12,999 outright, which is about $200 or €180. Customers can choose between Black and White color options.

It's also worth mentioning the handset comes with 1-year screen breakage warranty, a complimentary bag pack, and a smart or sensor-based flip cover.

But what's really special about the Aqua Ace is the fact that it's Intex's first smartphone to pack no less than 3GB of RAM.

Aside from that, Intex Aqua Ace is a pure mid-range device that ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

The smartphone is equipped with a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit, and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

It comes with unique features like Aqua ACE and Smart Motion

Also, Intex Aqua Ace sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

There's also a 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front.

The device comes with both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, and is powered by a 2,300mAh battery that should provide between 4 and 6 hours of talk time or up to 250-300 hours of standby time.

“Intex has been consistently raising the bar for the industry and with Aqua Ace, we have once again taken a leap to the next level with 3GB RAM, double gorilla glass and a massive memory capacity of up to 128 GB.”

“The Aqua Ace combines the best of everything - sleek looks, sturdy nature, and a breathtaking performance which clearly makes it the best smartphone in sub 15k segment,” said Mr. Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies.
