illume OS, a full-featured operating system designed to be used on desktops, notebooks, Netbooks, and other systems, has just received the first testing images for the 2.0 version.

illume OS 2.0 has been dubbed Copenhagen and the final version should be available sometime in December or maybe January.

Highlights of illume OS 2.0 Testing:

Debian has been updated to version 6.0.6; • The media codecs have been updated; • A Graphical GTK installer has been added; • Prelink has been enabled for quicker system performance; • Firewall is now enabled by default; • PCManFM now shows Apps folder when desktop loads; • DuckDuckGo is now a default search engine and homepage;
